Project A is DJ MIXxMAX and electric guitarist, JD. The Dallas duo know how to blend a live guitar and beat juggling cumbia and electro-dance sounds. It’s exactly the type of music you can get down for an all-night-to-sunrise party. The duo has wide breadth of musical influences from DJ Q-Bert, Daft Punk, and Toy Selectah.
Their latest track “Dreams” offers up a Daft Punk/Guns n’ Roses/Mexican Institute of Sound blended version of Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).” DJ MIXxMAX, 27, cosigns his guitar partner, “JD is very talented playing the guitar with whatever I’m putting out on the turntables. We are all over the place going from electro to cumbia to 3ball to dubstep and all while adding to the mix with a live guitarist, cuts and scratches.”
